Starting September 18th, 2023, we will be discontinuing the media encryption configuration for ZRTP in our VoIP platform. Users who currently have ZRTP configured at the connection level will see their media encryption settings removed.

SRTP as an Alternative:

As an alternative to ZRTP, we offer the option to use SRTP (Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol) for media encryption. Unlike ZRTP, SRTP requires explicit opt-in from users. This means that if you wish to have media encryption, you will need to configure SRTP for your connections. Steps to configure SRTP are listed below.

Action Required:

  1. If you currently have ZRTP configured and wish to continue using media encryption, please log in to our Mission Control Portal.

  2. Navigate to your connection settings where you previously configured ZRTP.

  3. If you wish to use media encryption, select the SRTP option and save your changes.

No Impact on Security

Please rest assured that the removal of ZRTP media encryption does not compromise the security of your communications. The change is designed to offer a more streamlined and efficient service while still maintaining the integrity of your communication.
