Telnyx ending support for HVSD outbound voice profiles

At this time, Telnyx has made the decision to end support for our high volume short duration (HVSD) outbound voice profiles, with effect from August 31st, 2022, at 23:59 UTC.

Why is Telnyx shutting down HVSD services?

In order to protect the status of our numbers and network, and minimize the disruption to our conversational profiles, we will stop supporting our HVSD outbound voice profiles going forward.

What qualifies as Short Duration traffic?

Calling traffic is defined as ‘Short Duration’ when more than 15% of calls last 6 seconds or less.

What will happen to my HVSD outbound voice profiles after August 31st, 2022?

From August 31st at 23:59 UTC support for HVSD outbound voice profiles will cease and all HVSD calls placed from HVSD profiles on the Telnyx network will fail.

Any HVSD traffic sent after August 31st, 2022 will be subject to a charge of $0.01 per call.

What do I need to do before August 31st, 2022?

We encourage Telnyx users who have active HVSD outbound voice profiles to proactively delete these profiles to minimize disruption to communications after August 31st, 2022.
