1. Register your handset(s)

In this step, you'll set up and register each device you have.

Note: Don't forget the batteries! Make sure you have fully charged or new batteries into your handset(s) before you begin registration so you can avoid losing power and having to start over.

For each handset you have:

  1. Plug the headset into the base unit (Dock it).

  2. Press the center button on the unit and select the Menu option.

  3. In the menu, select Initial Settings. If you need help finding it, look for the option with the wrench icon.

  4. From here, select Registration to enter the registration sub-menu.

  5. In the sub-menu, select Register Handset.

  6. Look at the base unit (the phone dock) and find the ALL button. Press and hold this for 4 seconds. Be aware that the unit may or may not start to beep (either is normal)

  7. Press the OK button on the handset.

2.Obtain your device's IP address

In this step, you'll get into your phone's configuration panel and get the information necessary to log into your web portal.

  1. From your handset, press the center button to open the menu.

  2. From the menu, select IP Service. If you need help finding it, look for the option with the toolbox icon.

  3. On the IP Service menu, select the Network Setting option, and from here, select IP Setting. This will display your phone's IP address. Make a note of this, as you'll need it later in this step. See the Troubleshooting section if you don't see an IP address here.

  4. On the handset, press the Back button to return to the Network Setting menu.

  5. From here, find and select Embedded Web. This is off by default. Use the middle button on the phone to move up to the On option to enable this. The handset will beep to confirm.

  6. Go to your web browser and enter the IP address you got in step 3 in your address bar to go to the web portal. For your first login, use the default credential:

    1. Username: admin

    2. Password: adminpass

3. Configure your KX-TGP 550 to connect to Telnyx

In this step, you'll set up your device connection to Telnyx from your KX-TGP 550 configuration panel.
